Sandal season is almost among us and I have been steadily stocking my Spring lineup for the last couple of weeks.
I know that the braided, padded and puffy sandal trend first made an appearance last summer, but with pandemics limiting the abundance of seasonal festivities, I definitely did not get to wear most of my Spring and Summer fashion finds last year.
Besides, budget friendly retailers got the memo, so there are a lot more “look for less” options than the likes of the pricier Bottega Veneta padded woven slides so many were coveting last season. Instead, for a fraction of the price, these quilted sliders from Shein are a solid dupe. Even these braided mules for a dressier, heeled option instead. For a more substantial but still price-friendly mid-range option, I love these double strapped Dolce Vita Paily pair.
For the last couple of years I have gravitated towards Sam Edelman sandals because they are equally trendy as they are comfortable. I have owned these double strapped leopard gala slides for two years now and I am already committed to getting a solid wear out of them this season. I snagged a similar leopard granada slide pair with a chunky buckle accent. I loved them so much I got them in a snakeskin pair as well!
On a more casual note, (and although I never thought I would be one to wear them), these Birkenstock Essentials Arizona waterproof slides have become a must for the warmer weather months. The cult favorite iconic cushioned sandal is revised in a rubber-like texture with sleek adjustable straps. After all day wear, it was clear to me that they were designed to provide optimal comfort. Love the Birkenstock look but hate the price tag? Target has a dead on dupe Neida Eva slide sandals. and a lot of other similar styled options here.
In the name of fashion, I love them all. What’s your sandal type?
