It’s still full on winter here in the New York but I already have my mind on Spring days and warmer weather. The cold season is not quite ready to leave yet, but because Mother Nature has proved to be unpredictable time and time again (thanks to global warming), and once in a while we are treated to milder sunny days even in the dead of winter.
So on today’s post I am sharing pieces from my latest American Eagle haul and styling some transition weather appropriate looks that can easily take you from milder winter days into the first peeks of Spring. To start, as someone who is Disney obsessed, I couldn’t resist this Mickey graphic tee. Styled two ways, I kept the first look edgy with a leather moto jacket, with black booties and a complementing quilted crossbody bag from Amazon. The second, more cozy casual with my favorite plush faux fur cardigan and slip on checkered Van sneakers. Added a fun accessory with these red heart shape sunnies feel like a nod to Minnie. And let’s be honest, with either look, Mickey’s face is a vibe, lol.
Next are these Hugger high waisted ribbed leggings. I was pleasantly surprised by the look and quality of them as I have never tried leggings from AE before. The fabric feels supportive, warm are brushed inside and out for all the extra warm & cozy feels. The trim detail keeps them more interesting than your standard black leggings. Some of my favorite ways to style budget friendly finds are mixing them up with more investment pieces, so here I mixed it up by styling these leggings with a basic white tee, cropped denim jacket and my Yeezy taupe sneakers with complementing Celine satchel bag. I used the same idea with this heathered oatmeal colored oversized sherpa-lined hoodie. Same Celine satchel, with distressed black denim and my leopard Golden Goose sneakers.
All of these pieces are versatile enough to mix and match and work in your current faves to achieve similar looks. I love them all but I may be partial to my boy Mickey…he’s always a favorite! 🙂
