The holidays are over and the cold and gray days of January are in full swing. Although I will forever rather spend my days with toes in the sand off in some hot and sunny beach resort, I try to make the most of cold winter days with some cute and cozy finds to keep my warm.
Although summer is my favorite season (becausee I hate the cold), I can appreciate the colder months for all of the fashionable styling options. Being able to layer pieces and accessorizing with winter cozies can totally transform an outfit. Simply by adding a scarf or hat, or layering a plush faux fur cardigan or bag can add interest to your overall look.
One of my favorite ways to stay comfy and cute is by wearing an oversized chunky sweater dress. With Valentine’s Day upon us sooner than I’d like, I opted for a saturated red number. It can totally be worn as a tunic sweater paired with leggings and sneakers for a more casual look, but I ordered a size bigger to wear as a dress. I styled it with my fave over the knee boots and accessorized with a multicolored plaid blanket scarf.
For those super cold days, I pull out my knit pom pom beanies, and faux fur trim snow boots to weather the elements. These Sorel Joan of Arc waterproof winter boots keep my feet warm and dry during the harshest of New York winters and they have been in solid rotation every year since I got them. I have them on here with this alpaca blend cream and black chunky knit. My beanie adds a nice pop of color provides some added warmth too.
For milder days, graphic tees and casual cardigans are where it’s at. Walmart reigns for affordable band tee options; it’s literally the place where I score the majority of collection! Easily still keeping it casual most days, living in all the cozy things. What about you?
