Winter has hit New York, and this girl who lives for eternal summer is so not ready! Yesterday’s high for the day dipped into freezing temps and I couldn’t avoid going out but I’m glad I was prepared with some of my favorite new winter worthy pieces!
In an effort to get ahead of the bitter temps soon to hit my area in the coming weeks, I made it a point to shop some cold weather clothing items and accessories. Loving a good deal, I found myself perusing Walmart’s site for some cost friendly options. I’ve found their trendy and fashion-forward pieces from We Dress America would offer a great selection to choose from. I knew I would find some good things, but in typical fashion, I loaded my cart and checked out with a ton of stuff.
On today’s post, I’m sharing the deets on one of the outfits I pulled together. One of the first items to make it’s way into my cart was this sherpa black teddy coat. It has an oversized fit making it super easy to layer up underneath. Didn’t feel constrained at all with the chunky knit turtlneck I wore under the coat, even with it’s balloon sleeves. Because the neckline of this sweater was loose-fitting, I also pulled this chunky scarf to keep that blustery wind from making it’s way in. The scarf itself, was amazing quality as well; it looked and felt like something more high end and the fringe adds a fun detail.
I kept my denim simple, and decided on these shearling lined lace-up booties. I was very impressed by the quality and comfort. With a substantial rugged sole, they didn’t weigh on my feet at all and the two-toned laces were a nice accent to break up all of the black. Finished the look with this studded crossbody bag and a cableknit faux fur pom pom beanie; loved it so much I picked one up in every color!
I was so satisfied with all of my purchases, that I will be shopping some more winter basics from Walmart asap!
