Although it’s officially been winter since last month, the coldest days of the season are still ahead, especially here in New York.
So with all the cold weather on my mind, I will be sharing a collective haul of all the goods I have purchased in recent weeks. I will be sharing the bulk my favorite coat picks in a future separate post, (I’m still waiting on a couple pieces to come in), but in the meantime, today I’m sharing ones I’ve already picked up along with some of my favorite layering basics and winter worthy essentials that would make solid additions to your seasonal wardrobe.
For the last few seasons, having a classic black quilted puffer jacket has been my go-to for transitional weather and those unseasonably milder winter days. I scored this one at a discount for just under $40, and is a solid similar looking option for my pricier Abercrombie utility puffer that I also have in a creamy white shown here.
I know I’ve mentioned it ad nauseum how much I despise the cold, so it is an absolute must for me to have my closet stocked with versatile layering basics. Keeping basics in solid colors like long-sleeved tees, lightweight v-neck knits, crew neck sweaters and hoodies makes putting a look together grab-n-go ready. Additonally, (and maybe this may not be for everyone), but having thicker, warmer layers like this BlankNYC sherpa pullover i snagged on sale is a must. I practically live in fleece and sherpas all season long as they are the perfect cozy go to to lounge around all day in and an easy grab to add textural interest for an all black monochromatic look.
I grabbed most of these pieces at a great price while on sale, some of which are still available at a discount, so if you have your eye on anything, snag it before it’s gone! Happy Shopping! 😊
