Summer is usually the time of year when I am most likely to wear bold colors, prints and trendier pieces. Maybe it’s the hotter days that inspire me to add some colorful hues into my outfits, but if you know me at all, neutrals is wear the bulk of my wardrobe lives.
With that being said, I have shared a bunch of fun, season-worthy colorful looks in recent weeks, but today’s post I’m dedicating to some wardrobe basics and staples I have added to my closet, all from Walmart! My most recent haul comprised of classic whites and black pieces with some new denim and accessories sprinkled in.
It should come as no surprise for anyone who has been following along for a while how much I love Sofia Jeans from Walmart. They have yet to disappoint, with every style I have ever tried always a perfect fit. Besides they’re super flattering fit, I love them for their on-trend styles, and their budget friendly price point just makes them a no-brainer. This time around, I picked up three pairs; a high-rise skinny that feature a sharkbite hem, a side slit bootcut pair, and a pair of girlfriend jeans that boasts a straighter leg silhouette, making them the perfect pick for your everyday denim. No surprise…I love them all!
No wardrobe is complete without the little black dress, and I like to have varying options that are versatile enough for day-to-night wear. I snagged three styles, each with varying hemlines; a cute ruffle strap mini, a chiffon midi that features an eye-catching, fluttery uneven hem, and a halter maxi. I love each one for they’re simplicity and ease of wear. Any of these would make a great LBD addition to your wardrobe, especially for transitioning into the upcoming season! And when it comes to the summer, white dresses are the LBD of the season, so of course I had to pick up a couple of options. First, an eyelet number that’s perfect for casual days, and smocked midi for that effortless summer style. Lastly, I picked up a few accessories and a couple of white blazers to dress up my denim looks; a crisp white never fails to elevate an outfit!
