It’s sweata weatha people! Ever since the viral SNL sweater skit made it’s debut, it always comes to mind this time of year, lol.
And for good reason, because it’s the season for all the cozy knits. I have already pulled out some return favorites from season’s past, including this oversized drapey turtleneck sweater that I already own in three colors. I was so happy to see it return during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale this year, so I snagged the rust color as soon as the sale opened up for me! It is by far my most used pullover sweater in my entire closet because it’s just so buttery soft and the fabric has some good stretch, giving it the drape like quality that I find so flattering. It’s also the absolute perfect color for Fall and I love pairing it with black denim with a complementing pair of booties like I did here. And for a pop of pattern, I accessorized with my favorite leopard clutch.
Speaking of the NSale, I wasn’t able to grab the popular colorblock cardigan from Madewell before it sold out. Although it’s come back into stock since the sale ended, I couldn’t justify the full price tag. But leave it to me to find a budget friendly dupe, and this wide striped cardigan from Walmart is a great option! The colors aren’t exact to the Madewell one, but it features all hues perfect for Fall just the same. My favorite way to wear any cardigan, is layered over a basic cami. I styled it here with a cream lace trim cami and paired it with some distressed denim. An easy casual go-to fall uniform if you ask me!
For something a little more dressed up, I love a chunky knit cardigan to throw over a fun and trendy piece like this leopard ruffle mini. Both are from Amazon, and each come in a range of colors for some versatile mix and match with other staples in your wardrobe.
Summer has my heart, but I live for cozy sweater wearing this time of year. What’s your favorite way to style them?
