Spending so much more time at home last couple weeks has had me bit by the organizing and redecorating bug. If you follow along on my Instagram, you will have seen me reorganize my work space and rearrange my furniture at least seven times!
Having said that, I ordered some new furniture pieces for my loft space. I live in a duplex apartment, therefore renting prohibits me from permanently installing things like shelving or built ins. Because of this, I rely on stand alone furniture and storage solutions.
My space gets a lot of natural light so I like to keep my larger furniture pieces in whites, creams and whitewashed grays. In previous post I shared my love of blush and gold accents that I like to sprinkle in my spaces, but today’s mood boards are filled with the more rustic chic and country farmhouse inspired decor I like to mix in with the glam.
Most all of my picks are on sale like my tiered tray I like to keep stacked with mugs on my coffee bar adorned with these wooden beads for a touch of fun interest. Otherwise they’re all budget friendly or more reasonably priced options of similar models from pricier retailers. Amazon and Walmart for the win!
I especially love the whitewashed and distressed wooden pieces, the light colored rugs and chunky, cozy throws, and minimal (mostly scarce) wall decor. I’ve been in my apartment for a little over a year and have yet to show my walls some love but having a harder time committing to those kinds of pieces. So I’m still editing my loft space and living room will probably be next, but definitely taking this time at home to make the most of it!
