It’s been a while since I shopped fashion pieces from H&M for no other reason than I haven’t gone to the mall in what feels like ages. (Thanks to pandemic life). I only ever picked up pieces from there when I was shopping in-store, so this try-on I’m sharing today is long overdue.
What I like about H&M is their budget friendly price point with on-trend pieces and solid wardrobe basics. And because it’s still very much winter in the Northeast where I am, I opted to pick up some warm cozy knits in versatile neutral pieces to get the most wear out of my haul.
I couldn’t resist picking up (yet another) longline cardigan. This one is a neutral taupe in a fine-knit cardigan in soft wool blend fabric. It features casual dropped shoulders for a slightly oversized fit with ribbed cuffs and hem. I styled it here with a solid ribbed white tank, super distressed denim from Abercrombie and my favorite Vince Camuto ankle booties in tortilla suede.
Gray is probably my most worn color after black (the New York neutrals, lol), so easily gravitated towards this turtleneck. and oversized crew neck sweater. Both make great wardrobe basics, styled alone like I did here or with winter accessories in the form of slouchy pom pom beanies, chunky knit colorblock scarf and shearling trim boots.
Lastly, no wardrobe is complete without a classic white long sleeved t shirt. I appreciate that this one from Aerie is 100% cotton and features ribbed cuffs with light distressing throughout for a more loved and lived in look…it’s all about the little things! I kept this look simple with my favorite Spanx booty boost black leggings, leopard slip on sneakers, baseball cap and a denim jacket tied around my waist.
Far from basic, I love the versatility of wardrobe workhorses, and these newest pieces can easily be added to my personal winter style rotation. What’s YOUR go-to winter style look like?
