Fall Must Have Sneaker Haul

The sneaker obsession continues and today I’m sharing my latest aquisitions to add to my growing collection.

Some people collect bags, some indulge in adding to their piles of makeup and beauty while others line shelves with more shoes than they’ll ever wear. And like the latter, shoes are my weakness but specifically athletic sneakers are what get me excited. For me, there’s nothing like the anticipation of receiving a box of fresh kicks in the mail.

So recently I experienced that excitement a few times over with some new additons to my sneaker family, lol. Collecting sneakers is not exactly new for me; I definititely had a moment in my teens where I tried my best to get the latest styles of Nikes and for the time, my collection was impressive.

Not exactly sure why I ever stopped, but my love was reignited a couple of years ago when it was sparked my me beloved cheetah print Adidas Swift Run sneakers. I knew I had stumbled upon a winner then, and I’m so happy to see their still as popular, so much so that the style keeps selling out, even during this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary sale! So coveted, that Walmart came out with a pretty impressive leopard print Swift Run lookalike for a fraction of the cost, which I also own.

Years later, it seems like Adidas got the memo because they now have these leopard print version that I did not hesitate to pick up. Both share the same Swift Run DNA; comfortable, lightweight and breathable. Equally versatile and practical as they are cute, (and fully stocked in all sizes at the time of posting this), these would make a great addition to your sneaker lineup, especially if you missed out on snagging a pair of the cheetah print.

My other favorite Adidas style, the NMD R1’s, also released a camo style that I couldn’t resist. The print seems to be picking up steam for this fall season, so the timing couldn’t be better. I also payed homage to my teens by adding these Nike Air Max pair, lol; a popular style I collected years ago.

Lastly, I bit the bullet and picked up my first pair of Yeezy Boosts, partly because I needed to understand the hype. And regretfully, (only because the price hurts my soul a little bit), these are hands down the most comfortable sneakers I’ve ever worn! So if you’re at all considering, I suggest giving them a try on first to fully understand, lol. And if you join th masses, pick a colorway that you know you’ll love. I stuck with the Zion color style because I live in black and grey in colder months and I wanted to get my wear out of them, and as a New Yorker, I need my kicks!

Whether you’re on a budget or looking to splurge, all of these are solid options regardless of their intended use, but personally I prefer to style my sneakers with my casual looks rather than use them for the gym, lol. Do you style your sneakers too or do you reserve them for your workouts?
