So, I love this dress enough… to dedicate an entire blog post to it!
It’s definitely one of my fancier dresses, I had originally bought it for an “All-White” themed party–now I patiently wait for any and all invitations to fancy-weekend soirees, just so I can wear it again. (Spoiler: these invitations don’t come often!)
Perfect for cocktails at an upscale bar, special date nights, ceremonies, or perhaps an event you’re required to speak at–this dress allows you to stand out while also looking classy and professional.
Plus, as this dress is a Nordstrom find, the quality and comfort is top notch. Which is important for your fancy weekend-wear! I love to look good, but at the end of the day, I want to be comfortable. Not itchy and like I can’t breathe.
Since the dress has a to-the-knees, pencil fit, I opted for a pair of open-toed, nude heels. The open toe balances the dress‘ statement top, and the nude color helps to add length to my legs. (Are we taking notes? Because these are general rules to live by, people!)
My heels are from the ever reliable, Sam Edelman. And at $99.95, I’d consider them a worthy investment. These heels can hang with the fancy dresses, but can also get down with your denim and casual skirts. I find the thick heel very easy to walk on, the dainty ankle strap keeps the shoe securely fastened to your feet, and the arch support is really nice, too. You go, Sam Edelman.
I’m wearing several pieces of jewelry here and they happen to be items that I rotate quite frequently. For example, my trusty Gorjana coin necklaces which I tend to layer no matter what the occasion.
I added a blush necklace enhancer from Kendra Scott for a touch of warmth amongst all my white and nude tones, and these asymmetrical Kendra Scott bracelets (sold together) for a bit of an arm party.
Statement dress? Check! Simple heels? Check! Accessories to bring it all together? Check!
Now you’re ready for a night out on the town.
I hope you like this dress as much as I do! If you have any questions, per the usual, please feel free to leave a comment below! Thanks for stopping by the blog!
