For my next stop, we sailed into Germany on Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of The Sea’s. My trip up to this point was absolutely incredible. I’ve seen so many new and beautiful places and there were still so many more stops to see. I had visited Berlin about 4 years ago, so it was nice to go back and do different things. For our first stop of the day, we headed to check out the German Bundestag. The German Bundestag is the national Parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany. It lies in the Reichstag Building in Berlin. The architecture of the building is gorgeous. A fun fact is that Parliament is composed of 630 members. 630 members! Imagine having to compromise and agree with that many people? I’m happy I was only there to explore and not work.

For lunch, we headed to Dom Curry. I ordered my favorite dish from my last trip which was Dom Curry wurst. Curry wurst is pork sausage that is first steamed, then fried and typically cut into slices and seasoned with curry ketchup, a sauce based on spiced ketchup or tomato paste and topped with curry powder. If you like curry make sure to give this dish a try on your next trip.

Before going back to the cruise ship, we stopped at the Berlin wall. The Berlin Wall was constructed in 1961 to separate West Berlin and East Berlin during the Cold War. Graffiti on the wall became popular for artists from around the world and a place where tourists can go to admire the artwork.

The weather during this trip was all over the place. I was sweating in one country and freezing in another. Each morning, I would wake up unaware if I’ll be putting on a winter jacket or my favorite tank top. Germany wasn’t too bad, so I played it safe with a light jacket and some jeans. A casual look that still never gets old. Free people never fails with black jeans. I always find cute pairs that fit perfectly. Pairing it with the light jacket works for more than fashion reasons; with the unexpected weather, it’s the perfect thing to make sure you’re comfortable. Remember, it is always easier to take off layers while you are out instead of running around cold and looking for your average tourist sweater to throw on. Germany you were great, and I’ll definitely be coming back for you. Let the next adventure begin!
