Tis’ the Season! Some of you might be thinking: “But Sarah, It’s too soon!!!” But this girl right here has been bit by the holiday bug and it’s been all things Christmas around here since well before Halloween!
I kid you not, I had to resist the urge to not start in September, but as soon as holiday decor started hitting storefronts, I started adding all the sparkly, glittery, and holiday cheery things to my cart.
It was a full of Elf at Santa’s workshop the day my items arrived. Up went the tree, opened up all the goods, laid them out and started to play around with where to put what; constantly editing until I achieved the look I was going for.
For my bedroom I wanted rustic farmhouse vibes with some feminine touches. I already had a clean slate to start, with my white duvet and shams offering a blank canvas. My upholstered headboard already softens things up so I knew I wanted to add some evergreen garland to frame the bed. Trimmed with red plaid ribbon, it offered just a touch of traditional flare and pop of color to an otherwise monochromatic room.
I dressed up my nightstand with some more Christmas decor. This wooden reindeer stood stoic next to this miniature flocked pine tree and Rae Dunn candle. Place this super cute sisal bear figure and vintage glass lighted sphere on the bottom shelf. The soft twinkling lights were so pretty!
To break up all the white, I put on these large shaggy gray throw pillows on my bed and topped with some decorative festive ones. Draped a couple of throws, one faux fur and one pom pom, for added texture. And just for the gram, I had to prop this basket tray with some faux greenery, a gold bell and festive mug, filled to the brim with marshmallows, (they were my sweet reward when I was all done, lol).
