Summer is over and Fall is in the air… a change of season always sparks a renewed energy and my living space is no exception.
At the time I am writing this I am in the process of a full overhaul of my living room. I recently sold and got rid of all furniture and larger decor (with the exception of my sofa), to make space for a clean slate. Although I loved the larger pieces of furniture I had, after living with them for a couple of years, I realized they may have been too “heavy” for my space.
For those who have been around a while, you will have seen countless photos that included large, sturdy wood and stone top coffee and console tables from Pottery Barn. I loved the distressed reclaimed wood and quality of the pieces, but I think because my floors are dark gray granite, I was always looking to lighten up the place. The pieces were large and bulky and may have been too heavy for the space. I love gray but there also might have been too much of it since my sofa, the wood wash and counters on the furniture were all varying shades of it.
As a start I swapped out my area rug for something a little warmer, and added this gold and faux marble coffee table. Just with those two additions, the space is already looking brighter. The living room is still in a work in progress so I have been consistently on the hunt for more pieces to add and making these decor boards certainly helps! Because I obviously can’t get everything I love, I make sure to save all the pieces that inspire me and put them together to share with my followers.
This time around my finds include some Farmhouse, boho and vintage themed decor. I love that so many of you are enjoying these as much as I have been putting them together for you all. Hope you find something you can add to refresh you your space; if you pick up and love any of my recs, be sure to tag me on Instagram…would love to see them styled in your home!
