There are few things I love more than my adidas sneakers, and those that have followed me for some time are no stranger to my love for them. But even better than a new pair of my fave adidas NMDs, is having a matching set to go with them, lol.
In recent years, the adidas NMD R1 sneakers have been my favorite style from the brand and recently I snagged a pair in their core black with blush/beige accents. I have raved about these sneakers ad nauseum on my blog and IG, but for those that aren’t familiar, they boast a super comfortable fit with with their signature midsole plugs for an energy returning boost. Sounds wild right!? I’ll admit I don’t fully comprehend the technology that goes into these, but I’m here for the snug, sock-like fit, especially for spring and summer wear.
As far as the ‘fit, maybe it’s a native New Yorker thing, but I could live in all black, all day, all the time… it’s literally my go-to uniform of choice. (I always joke how black is the color of my soul, lol). Because of that, I like having some all black wardrobe staples for an easy, no fuss instant outfit. I’m already a fan of the line’s Adicolor Essentials fleece sweatshirt because the cut and fit are extra slouchy so you have even more goodness to stay cozy in. I’m fully aware the summer season is upon us, but for someone who hates to be cold, having a cozy sweatshirt is a must for me when air conditioners are literally set to freezing wherever I go.
And because I am loving the matching sets trend lately, I snagged the line’s Classic 3-Stripes tights. There is nothing more frustrating than wearing a pair of leggings that slide down throughout the day and/or bunch around the middle while you sit. That’s not the case with these! The high-waisted fit are comfortable and stays put, plus they feature the iconic marks of the Trefoil and signature 3-Stripes adidas is known for.
