In an effort to be more aware of what’s in the products I’m using–I’ve been paying attention to 1- ingredients and 2- modes of preparation.
That being said… being environmentally aware/conscious can get pricey! Using better ingredients and choosing companies that prepare their products with integrity tends to come with a higher price tag.
Which is why I am happy to report–I have found a line of products that uses: NO parabens, NO phthalates, NO petrolatum, NO mineral oil, NO sulfates, NO gluten, and most importantly (are you ready, Bear?) NO animal testing–all with a Walmart price tag.
You read correctly! Walmart! And not to be that person (I am that person) but aren’t the products so aesthetically pleasing? Product presentation, be it right or wrong of me, can totally determine the brand I choose. *shoulder shrug* And often, it’s the more expensive brands that have the more Instagram-worthy presence, right? Why is that!
Anyways, this Walmart exclusive skincare brand, Earth to Skin, has 4 lines. So far I’ve been using products mostly from the Super Fruits line as this line is geared toward summer! All of the products you see pictured are super affordable, ranging from $6.96 to $9.88!
If you want to start by just dipping a toe in the water, I highly recommend you begin with the Super Fruits Watermelon Sheet Masks! There’s a few brands, like Glow Recipe, that got me hooked on watermelon masks/watermelon based products. But they’re expensive (typically in the 20-40 dollar range)–Earth to Skin’s Watermelon Masks are $6.96 for a pack of 4. They give my skin the perfect hydration boost for summer, aka not too heavy or sticky, and make my skin look brighter and more awake after use. I like to prep my skin in the morning as normal, and then end with a watermelon mask, before moving on to my makeup routine.

I had no idea Walmart had their own skincare line. Good for them for avoiding animal testing and excluding known toxic materials, I hope more and more brands follow suite so one day we don’t have to worry about what’s in our cosmetics and beauty treatments!

I’ve been concentrating on cleaner skincare/makeup but usually have to spend a pretty penny for it. Had no idea Walmart sold such clean products!
