As I write this I am currently in Disney for the third time this year. The obsession is real people! But seriously, I am just trying to make up for lost time (because 2020 was a total hermit blur), and really just trying to make the most of what’s left of summer.
Already halfway through August which means stores are already stocking their shelves with all things fall fashion (and honestly, I have already shopped new arrivals, some of which I shared in a previous post about styling fall wardrobe staples here). But summer’s not over just yet, so today I am sharing some end of summer style inspo, featuring transitional weather worthy pieces and sharing some of my latest casual and cute finds.
To start, my first outfit is my summer uniform: tee shirt and jeans. The look takes your workhorse basics: a v neck tee shirt and favorite denim and elevates them with trendy accessories, a pop of bling and animal print. With the exception of my bracelets, the full look is completely from Express!
Maybe I’m part of the minority here, but when I think of summer fashion, Fun graphic tees are a staple. I can’t imagine going a full season without the effortless style of a good band tee. I rounded up all of my recent favorites; a combination of Target and Urban Outfitter finds. My favorite way to style them as demonstrated here, are with jeans or cutoff denim shorts, my favorite pair of Converse of Vans slip ons, and some fun accessories. And when I want to put a little more effort in a casual look beyond the whole tshirt and jeans, I’ll swap the tee for a classic white button up layered over my favorite Free People bralette…seriously a staple summer look for me for several years now!
What’s your summer must have staple?
