I shared a sneak peak of my patio in progress in a recent post and promised to share the final reveal once I was done with the space. So today I am sharing how I styled my small patio with budget friendly furniture and decor finds, all for under $500 total!

If you have been around for a while you will know that I was most excited about finally having some usable outdoor space when I moved last month. Having the option to sit outside on a warm sunny day is quite the luxury, especially in a New York rental unit, so I feel super lucky to have found a place that offered the option.

Because I was working with limited square footage, I knew I had to invest in pieces that featured a smaller footprint. With most patio furnishings consisting of larger dining sets and conversation sectionals, I knew I had to get creative. The inspo that started it all was this 3pc. wood bistro set from Walmart that I score for only $98! Made of acacia hardwood, it boasts a durable construction and the ability to fold it up for off season storage is an added perk. Additionally, the minimalist design makes it easy to style and coordinate with other pieces. It’s quickly become the perfect spot to work on my laptop while enjoying my morning coffee!

I don’t entertain much, so large seating accommodations were not a priority, but I did want to have some additional seating just in case. With that in mind, I picked up this upholstered bench from Target and wood garden stool from Amazon.

With all the major pieces out of the way, I decorated with an assortment of textiles; throws, pillows and a small area rug to warm up the space. For added ambiance, I hung frosted string lights and added a mix of candlesdecorative lanterns and vases outfitted with tealights and LED flameless candles. (I like having all the options, lol). To finish off the space I added some faux greenery with this potted weeping eucalyptus tree and assorted succulents.

The addition of all of the furniture has added a three season functioning space to my new place and the decor has made it warm and inviting to enjoy my time out there. And with all the budget friendly finds, it shows you don’t have to drop a fortune to create a space that you love and can enjoy!
