When I was packing for our trip to Greece, I knew that Brittany and I would be shooting a lot of photos with our photographer from Shoot My Travel against the blue and white backdrop. I wanted to make sure that I was choosing outfits that would contrast the backdrop, so I thought that red would be the perfect pop that I was looking for. This “Here To Stay” tunic in the color poppy by Free People is such a great piece for a tropical or Mediterranean vacation like ours.
We met up with our photographer, Panagiotis, from Shoot My Travel, and he brought us to all the best spots in Santorini. He told me that my red tunic dress was a great choice against the blue and white because most people pick colors that blend into the background. We even joked with him because Brittany decided to wear a blue and white dress, which is what most people think is the best option to wear.
Our shoot with Panagiotis was one hour long, which was the perfect amount of time. During that one hour, we were able to go to multiple locations (about 4-5) and shoot two different outfits, which was perfect! I bet we could have squeezed in one more outfit change, but Brittany and I only brought two looks for this shoot. What I loved about Shoot My Travel is that they were so easy to book, and you can select your photographer based on the day and time you need.
Panagiotis was incredible to work with. He was extremely helpful, very professional, and again, he knew Santorini very well and brought us to some of the most amazing spots on the island. If you are planning a trip to Greece, I would highly recommend booking with Shoot My Travel at www.shootmytravel.com, as their photographers know their way around the island and will capture the incredible beauty that Greece has to offer.
One of the great things about the tunic that I wore is that it is a bit on the short side, so it can also double as a top with cute denim shorts or a pair of white denim jeans. It is quite versatile and the color really stands out. As you can tell from these photos, the red pops against the blue and white Grecian backdrop. Another reason that I love this tunic is the price point. It is only $88, which is great for a Free People item. Plus, it comes in three other colors, in addition to the poppy color I am wearing.
To be extra comfy as Brittany and I were shooting and wandering around Santorini, I decided to pair this dress with these extremely comfortable Soludos sandals that are under $100! These sandals were so handy for this trip because they literally paired well with everything I packed. The neutral color paired perfectly with all of my Grecian outfits. They are a great travel sandal to just throw in your bag, wear to the beach, pair with shorts, skirts, dresses, etc. The options are endless with these Soludos sandals.
Because Santorini was so incredibly beautiful, there isn’t any color that could actually ruin a photo there. But I have to say, if you are planning a trip to Greece, I highly recommend picking colors that will pop against the gorgeous white and blues of Santorini!
