Everyone is obsessed with pizza for the obvious reasons of that cheesy goodness but us New Yorker’s are next level in our love and hate for different styles and favorite local spots. If you ever troll Instagram looking at some of New York’s popular food bloggers pages then you have definitely seen Emmy Squared and need to add to your must visit list! This place is super popular and always busy because the food is delicious. One might think it would be silly for someone to wait a hour and a half for pizza and a burger but I promise you it’s well worth the wait!
Emmy Squared is not just your typical kind of pizza place; It’s mainly Detroit style pizza which I’ve never had before or even heard of. I ordered a vodka pie but seriously, order anything that catches your eye. This pizza place can do no wrong with their toppings and every option looked great. Costing $19 for 6 small slices of pizza can be considered a lot if you are used to your everyday large slice of pizza costing $2.50. I am a huge lover of your average everyday pizza but I now understand why people are paying the price. This Detroit style pizza had an incredibly cheesy, and crispy crust! Who doesn’t love cheese on cheese on cheese! You know I do!
– There could be a very long wait but they will text you when your table is ready.
– If you drive like I do, parking is super easy because of the area. You just have to pay for metered parking.
– I am a Diet Coke addict and they didn’t serve real Diet Coke.
– I like my fries with Heinz ketchup. It’s the only real ketchup. They served very sweet ketchup.
