The home decor bug is going strong at The House of Sequins. It’s pretty much come down to a daily obsession. Whether I’m organizing a space, ordering a new piece or editing my existing decor, I’m living for all the home decor things at the moment.
As of late I’ve been enjoying playing with new design styles and loving the process of solidifying my specific aesthetic. What I have learned to date is that I like a combination of styles in my home and am totally okay mixing things up as far as themes go. But I have learned I can get away with doing this without things looking completely out of space by simply staying in the same color story and keeping clutter at a minimum.
Keeping things neutral is a no brainer for me. It’s what I will always initially gravitate to in pretty much everything; fashion, makeup and home decor alike. But additionally keeping decorative accents at a minimum helps keep my space looking cohesive. I will also indulge in any blush and gold home accents (as I do with my fashion accessories as well), and found some pretty Hollywood Glam inspired pieces from Wayfair like this gold wall mirror. I have a super similar one leaning on a shelving unit I use to house my jewelry and accessories.
In addition to all the glam pieces, I pulled together some Art Deco and minimal Scandinavian inspired decor; further adding to the library of design styles I’ve already shared on the blog. Roll over any of the boards for direct product links, but good pieces don’t last long!
