Sometimes this time of year can leave you in a outfit rut because stores are stocking their Spring lines but Winter continues to linger. Today I’m sharing the perfect end of season transitional outfit just right for those in-between weather days.
So the sun it out, clear skies are abundant, but there’s still that crisp chill in the air not yet suitable for cutoffs and tank tops. We get a lot of those kind of days in New York, so one can easily find themselves dipping into wardrobe pieces from every season!
I tend to have a go-to uniform of sorts with similar pieces intended to achieve this look. Lighter colors and pieces that can layer usually fit the bill. Jackets are perfect this time of year for just that, and I especially love this khaki colored Drapey Moto jacket from Abercrombie. It has an adjustable cinched hem; zipped up it’s perfect for those drafty days! Layered over a lace cami is how I like to wear it best but on cooler days it works just as well over a cropped sweater too.
My jeans are also from Abercrombie and they’re the High Rise Mom jeans. The mom jean isn’t a fit I wouldn’t typically wear, but the legs are slim enough that they are flattering on my frame. Kept everything tucked in and the wear was comfortable throughout the day. I love the paint splatter and distressed details that give it a more relaxed and casual vibe.
I gave my jeans a little cuff to shoe just enough skin for my nude booties. The silhouette of this pair with the cutout sides make it season appropriate and the lighter neutral color doesn’t weigh down the whole look.
Had to add a pop of leopard per usual with my crossbody bag to finish the look. It just makes it a Sarah moment, you know?!

Ok, your boots are pristine! I have that same pair and boy they do not look like that lol. Cute jacket, I keep hearing about these jeans too.
I love a good moto jacket. I wore one very similar to this earlier today – but mine was more of a twill and a bit of a deeper olive than the fun mix of taupe/olive this one is! I really enjoy the way you styled this!
That jacket is gorgeous! Absolutely love the fit on it. The perfect transitional piece for spring!

Abercrombie has the best jackets. I got a few in the fall and I’ve been wearing them non stop. This jacket may need to be added to my collection!
