I have a (not so secret) love affair with all things home decor. Because of this I like to switch things up sometimes so today I’m showing you my updated holiday themed bedroom setup!
My last bedroom decor was had more traditional Christmas elements and colors. This time around, I played around blush pinks and creamy tones. Still festive for the season but much more soft and subdued.
My inspiration for the entire look started with these blush faux fur throw pillows. It shouldn’t surprised you why I gravitated toward them, but I knew I would love them in my bedroom. Added some silk pillowcases in a complementing pink. I’ve heard so many cool benefits of using silk over other pillowcase fabrics so I’ve been wanting to try them out for some time. Will keep you posted on my review of them!
I dressed my bed in my usual throw pillows, duvet set and layered this pink sherpa throw. Also a recent purchase to go along with my theme, I am fully satisfied with it’s coziness and warmth. Double brownie points!
Just like your fashion wardrobe, what I love about home decor is that you can pick up one or a select few items and incorporate them into your already existing stock of things. My newer pink purchases married perfectly with the blush toned Christmas accents I already had like the frosty botanical garland over my headboard, the miniature trees and my little village houses I used to dress up my nightstand.
And a photo worthy bed pic wouldn’t be complete in my book without dressing it up with my basket serving tray. Layered in some gold and sparkly accents to tie in my lighting hardware and wall art. Filled with a mug of hot chocolate, marshmallows filled to the brim…a sweet treat to end a job well done…Cheers!
