How to apply false eyelashes with Meika from Truth and Beauty.
As much as I would love to take credit for my beautiful lush eyelashes, I must admit to wearing fake ones. But I will share the secret behind them with you all. I myself am not a huge beauty person but I was willing to learn to stay looking fabulous. Its surprisingly easy to do and I’ll simplify it in four simple steps.
Apply mascara to natural lashes first
Putting mascara on your natural lashes creates a foundation for the fake lashes to be supported by. Also Put on eye shadow and other eye makeup first. A little tip is to not only put eyeliner on the top and bottom of your eyelids, but also on your upper waterline for a more full look.
Fit lashes to size of eye
Take eyelashes out of its container with a tweezer. Carefully! Make sure not to break them. Place eyelash up to eye and compare the difference in size. Cut the fake eyelash to the size of your eye. Make sure to cut the band from the inside out so you don’t lose volume. To soften the spine of it ,wrap it around your finger.
Add adhesive/glue
Place a very thin layer of adhesive along the spine of the eyelashes. Let it sit for a few minutes to dry a little. Do not blow on it! Germs from your mouth can get onto it and end up in your eye and no one wants that! A little birdie told me to try putting the adhesive right onto your eye. This way you’re guaranteed to have it straight and precise. I’m yet to try this idea but it’s definitely worth a shot!
Finally put on lashes
It’s finally time to look your best! Place the lashes on top of your natural lashes. Begin with the outer corner and work your way in. Make sure to take your time and make sure each area is placed on firmly and straight. Hug your lash line for best result.
That’s all folks! Four simple steps to guarantee you stay slaying the game ladies. To make it even better place eyeliner over the fake lashes to finish the look.
