You may know by now that the only outdoor living space I’ve had access to is my small balcony…the perks of renting in New York I know, lol. If I learned anything last year while in lockdown, it was that having outdoor space was a luxury and made all the difference. And because of that, I knew that when I was looking for a new place to live, that I wanted to make sure that I had access to more outdoor living space.
I have featured plenty of patio furniture finds in older posts, but today I am focusing a little more on outdoor entertaining. With so many places only just starting to open their doors to pre-pandemic capacity, I still want to keep it low key this coming season to avoid the crowds that have been eagerly anticipating the return of summer activities at their favorite venues. It’s with that return to social gatherings in mind that I took all spaces into consideration for this round up: porches, balconies, decks, etc. Also decided to mix in some outdoor accessories and accents to warm up your space and make it more inviting to get the most use out of your time outside!
I included multiple options for space space dining sets able to accommodate individuals or larger pieces suited for larger groups (or just roomier for the sake of spreading out for dining al fresco). Bistro sets make an easy option for small space seating perfect for breakfast or a coffee break outside. For even more versatility, I love this bistro set for the added flexibility of tucking it away to make space for more room or to easily store when out of season.
Lastly, I rounded up some options for ambient lighting, outdoor storage, decor and other practical pieces that would get some fun use out of. Think fun summer drinks using this frozen drink maker or keeping your patio soiree stocked with cool drinks and treats with a portable cooler.
Whatever space you have to work with, there’s no time like the present to make it a cozy at home oasis!
