If you have been keeping up with what I’ve been up to lately, you’ll know that I recently closed on my first property and I couldn’t be more excited to make it my own. Although I shy away from pretty much all things adulting, years of renting in New York have finally run it’s course and I am looking forward to making my new place a home.

In case you’re wondering, I will still have my NY apartment, but I purchased a condo in Florida as a way to escape the cold winters here, (and let’s be honest, having my own place near Disney World is a dream come true, lol).  I will forever be craving sandy beaches and long summer days by the shore and because of that, I continue to find inspiration in to make my newly acquired place, the perfect at home oasis to “get away” when I need to.

Home should always be your sanctuary, and I really believe in making your space the most comfortable and enjoyable as possible…. after all, it’s where we spend the most amount of our time! Any changes or updates made do not have to break the bank, and a small refresh or budget friendly investment in some new furniture pieces can double your living space or maximize the use you get out of it.

I have shared tons of outdoor furniture finds and patio decor in the past and this time around I found so many good finds from Amazon. A lot of these piece can be mixed and matched, especially if they share a similar aesthetic, but mixing them up allows freedom of adding or editing where you like without feeling restricted in a particular style.

For example, combining the cleaner lines and neutral tones of larger pieces like patio seating; because I know I will spend a little more in this category, I want a style that can easily working with others nicely. This makes it easier to add in colorful accents and different textures give interesting layers to your space. Then adding a piece like this seagrass area rug to tie it all together!

I’m looking forward to sharing the progress, as my new balcony will be the first space I tackle when I start decorating. Stay tuned for that and hoping you find some inspo to refresh your space!
