It is funny to think that when me and Brittany first met in person and shot photos together, we decided on tutus and tutu-like dresses from the Cinderella collection at Kohl’s. Thank goodness our style has evolved and we have much better taste now, because I don’t think either of us would be caught dead wearing a tutu now. At the time, tutu’s in the blogging world were all the rage, and we thought it would be a good idea to try it out. Well needless to say, some tread just aren’t for anyone, and I think her and I can both agree to never put a tutu on ever again.
I think that these two one pieces are definitely more us and far more flattering than a tutu. Plus, with summer coming up and all the trips I make to warm places, even if you aren’t twinning with your bestie, this one piece is a great option to head to the pool or to the beach. Both swim suits are by Bikini Lab and mine say’s “Sea La Vie”, while Brittany’s says “You Had Me At Aloha”. These are both The Bikini Lab’s High Leg One-Piece Swim Suit. They also have it in a black option that says “Good Times and Tan Lines”, which I actually really think is cute. I think I may need to get that one for my next summer trip!
Each suit retails for $58, which is great for a one piece. I also like that with any one piece really, you can double it as a body suit if you decide to throw on a pair of denim shorts of a skirt with them. For me, I opted for my favorite denim cutoffs from Free People, which are their Loving Good Vibrations shorts. For Brittany, she decided to wear her High Waisted Destroyed Denim Mini Skirt from Express, which is only $49.90.
