Summer’s end is upon us, and as I mentioned in a previous post, I have started shopping all the fall themed home decor and pieces to cozy up my space for the upcoming season. For a curated round up of my favorites from all those new arrivals, you can check out that post here.
Officially the third installment of this year’s fall decor finds, today’s post is adding my recent favorites. I am continuing to share my love of all the neutral, “lived in” vibes all these pieces, (especially when styled together), giving a nod to warmer season worthy earth tones and prints.
So it is with warmer neutral tones, organic natural textures mixed with gold and brass metal accents are what I featured here. Each retailer had a great assortment of such finds, with beautiful stoneware vases, woven collections and faux stem arrangements that marry that play so nice together. I have mentioned this before, but I especially love the trend of incorporating varying textures; it adds so much richness to a space. Layering different fabrics, (especially when tone on tone), adds dimension, interest and amps up the cozy factor for all those chilly fall nights ahead. Try mixing materials, whether they be velvet, chunky knit throws, chenille, or faux fur…use these collages as inspo!
I recently went back shopping in store to both Target and Walmart. When I went earlier this month, the shelves were fully stocked at both my local stores. Maybe it was because I went in on a Monday morning after the weekend rush, but this time around the shelves were totally picked through and it was slim pickings. So much more in stock items online, so that is definitely the way to go!
