Although I already have Fall on my mind, we’re still in the thick of August and the heat has turned up around here!

With self-quarantining still very much a thing, I haven’t ventured out much still except for the occasional errand. But I have taken full advantage of getting some wear out of my newest pieces when I’ve had to go out and about for all the routine things. On today’s post I’m wrapping up so many of the cute and fun finds I’ve picked up and worn recently. A healthy mix of Amazon and Walmart finds sprinkled with some other favorite retailers like Abercrombie and Revolve.

My flatlay pretty much wraps up what I’ve been living in while out most days. With the weather on permanent heat wave recently, tanks and cutoffs are where its at, and my favorite go-tos are my cutoff jean shorts and these slim fitting henley tanks from Abercrombie. Their denim is a staple in my closet; everything from jeans, shorts and jackets because the quality, price and styles are reliably good for what I’m usually looking for. Also, these henley tanks are great basic for layering or just on it’s own, I’ve come to collect one in every color because they’ve become a personal summer essential!

And it’s worth noting that the shoes that I get the most wear out of every summer are my Converse Chuck Taylor Shoreline sneakers. They have made an appearance every season for the last few years because their easy, laid back casual style makes for a no brainer to any tee or tank and denim outfit. (Easily my summer casual uniform every year).

I styled similar looks with other wardrobe pieces but decided to dress up a bit for a working lunch I had recently. Not having any other occasion to get some wear out of a dress, I opted to wear this Julia Ruffled Mini Dress that day. It features a feminine sweetheart neckline with a  structured bust and under-wire for full support. I love the romantic ruffled detailing, fluttery spaghetti straps and the gold accents throughout make for a pretty sparkle that complements my gold accessories.

I didn’t think I would miss the fuss of dressing up but it honestly felt good going through the full “getting ready” process. Are you missing that too or living for all the cozy wear we’re getting so much use out of?

  1. Loving all of your summer picks, since there’s a lot of good finds. It’ll be summer in Arizona until November (literally) so I’m still in full summer mode lol

  2. Giiirl you know I’m avoiding being outside at all costs, but I do love some of these for keeping cozy indoors. The tanks and sneakers are great if I have to run errands as well!
