The flowers are beginning to bloom, the rain is finally starting to subside (kind of) and the sun is out and shining! Summer is almost here, we are in the home stretch to warmer weather and outdoor fun! With the temperatures on the rise getting dressed to go to work or business meetings came become a bit more challenging as we don’t want to cross the line of too casual but we also don’t want to melt to our death in the sweltering heat to come.  White House Black Market recently launched their summer 1 collection and it literally has everything your wardrobe needs to get ready for summer in the office and for play! This may just be my opinion, but I am so in love in with one shoulder tops for summer!  I found this stunning floral one shoulder blouse from White House Black Market and fell in love with the light weight material and the romantic floral print.  I felt this was a summer staple as it can be worn with a cool pair of black shorts, or white skinny jeans. It’s an easy, no brainer top for summer that can be dressed up or dressed down.  It was just too pretty to pass up! I decided to style this top with these coated black shorts that come with a belt. I couldn’t believe that these shorts were not leather, they look exactly like leather only more comfortable!  In these coated shorts you won’t have to worry about the heat getting to you as they are so lightweight and only have the look of leather.
I completed my look with these woven block heel sandals in black.  I love a good block heeled sandals, they’re always more comfortable and give you better support.  I highly recommend these to the girl on the go as you can run, jump, even do some burpees in these comfy block heels! Okay, maybe not for burpees, but they’re great for everyday use in the summer and they won’t cut up your feet or cripple them! I especially loved the buckle detail on them, that was the detail that drew me in but what sold me was the comfort.
