I have a special place in my heart for Orlando and every time I visit I love staying at the Hilton Bonnet Creek. You can check out my full review with details of the property in this blog post I wrote back during my visit in 2017!
During my most recent visit I had the pleasure of enjoying a cabana at the Hilton Bonnet Creek for the day, which was such a treat to be able to sit back, relax by the pool and have a true vacation day in between my busy days touring around Disney.
THE POOL
Not only does the pool offer full service cabanas but they have heaps of options to keep you occupied during the day for some fun in the Florida sun. From a lazy river surrounded in lush, tropical flowers to a pool with a lagoon style entry and even a water slide – there’s fun for the whole family with the water activities at the Hilton Bonnet Creek!
It’s no secret that I absolutely love Disney and going to visit Orlando, Florida. I especially love to go during the colder months in New York to escape the chill for a bit. I may be a born and raised New Yorker but this girl needs her sunshine and warmth! So, when my birthday came around I naturally headed South to celebrate for a weekend getaway.
THINGS TO DO
This top rated Hilton Resort is just minutes from the Disney Parks and offers transportation to and from the parks – which is awesome. Before heading to the Parks I needed some much needed sunshine and quality time in the amazing pool. We splurged for a private cabana to better enjoy our time as they included a fridge of beverages, personalized poolside service, WiFi (key!), and a flat screen HD TV. This cost $300 but was definitely worth it – plus it’s my birthday, YOLO! The hotel also has a three acre lazy river that flows around the entire pool complex. We enjoyed some delicious tacos accompanied with guac, salsa and chips. We also ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad and a wrap sandwich all which were delicious! The tacos were particularly memorable as they were rare tuna tacos topped with jalapenos so they were spicy and yummy!
ROOM
For my birthday the hotel went all out to celebrate little ol’ me and decorated my room with balloons that spelled out “HBD” and left Diet Cokes, champagne, candy and my favorite; Frito’s honey BBQ twists! They also provided cheese and crackers – so scrumptious! We stayed in one of the beautiful deluxe guest rooms with a beautiful view of the pool. Our room had the most comfortable king size bed that made me feel like a princess when I woke up. There was also an adorable sitting area. The Hilton made me feel so special and welcome – I was extremely happy with my stay!
RESTAURANT
There are several restaurant options offered at the Hilton Bonnet Creek, Orlando which is great especially if you’re traveling with a big group of people!
For my birthday we dined at The Hilton Bonnet Creek’s signature restaurant, La Luce. Napa Valley inspired, La Luce is a modern Italian style restaurant that is open for daily dinner’s only. We started off with salads which were tasty and light. I ordered the chicken which came served over greens with potatoes and it was absolutely delicious! For dessert we got one mini chocolate mousse cake and one mini strawberry cheesecake. I’m not much of a chocolate person, but the cheesecake was so creamy and decadent!
