While I have officially been in my new apartment for about four months, I have only really completed furnishing and styling my patio, which I shared in a previous post earlier this summer. Now with the season changing and Fall officially upon us, I decided to give my patio a refresh with some Fall inspired seasonal decor.

I have said it countless times before that Summer has my heart as I love the heat, so I have been putting my balcony to LOTS of good use! Perks of working from home is that I get to take my “office” outside to enjoy some sunshine while working away on my laptop.  So today I am sharing how I styled my small patio with budget friendly furniture and decor finds, with most all of my finds from Walmart Home!

If you have been around for a while you will know that I was most excited about finally having some usable outdoor space when I moved. Having the option to sit outside on a warm sunny day is quite the luxury, especially in a New York rental unit, so I feel super lucky to have found this place that offered one. Although I was working with limited square footage, the smaller footprint doesn’t have to impede on style or coziness factor.

My main piece of furniture that gets the most use out here is this 3pc. wood bistro set that I scored for only $98! The minimalist design makes it easy to style and coordinate with other pieces. It’s quickly become the perfect spot to work on my laptop while enjoying my morning coffee!

Both pics were taken during different times during the process of  curating the whole look. I already had my base furniture, and initially added some faux pumpkins, lanterns, and wooden crates. I love a layered look, so I added more lanterns, opting for larger pieces, added a decorative fall wreath. I also swapped my olive tree for some fluffy pampass stems in a woven vessel and the crates for a wood stump stool. Finally I added some chunky blankets to cuddle up with during cooler nights. The overall neutral look is far from boring with all the textural elements in the space.

The addition of all the fall decor has made it a warm and inviting space to enjoy my time out there. And with all the budget friendly finds, it shows you don’t have to drop a fortune to create a space that you love and can enjoy!
