The holiday season is just around the corner but if I’m being completely transparent, I’ve had my Christmas tree up since September. I know, that’s a little excessive, but I couldn’t wait to have some joy and spirit in my life. It’s been a tough year, and as far as I’m concerned, in 2020 anything goes, lol.
So along with some holiday decor, I thought I’d share all the awesome pieces and decorative accents I’ve picked up in the last couple of weeks. Almost all of my finds hail from Amazon or Walmart, so the majority of my pieces are budget friendly and easily accessible.
Bear wanted to be part of the reveal so he’s helping me share my new faux marble coffee table. For not being real marble, it looks far more expensive than it is, was easy to assemble and features a finish that leans matte on both the marble and gold parts. For a more subtle marbling look, Walmart has a similar table you can find here. Lately I have enjoyed styling it with this glass vase filled with faux flowers that I like to switch up. I also keep this white lacquer tray filled with a variety of coffee table books and seasonal items, candles or whatever suits my fancy.
The goal for my main living space was to brighten it up. Because the floors are a dark granite, I picked up this area rug which helped create a lighter canvas to work with. I added a couple of textured poufs and this faux fur stool for some casual additional seating, and invested in this electric fireplace which provides a mantle to decorate and also make things a little more cozy for the colder months.
Because I hate being cold, I keep my sofa dressed with a variety of throw blankets, like this pom pom one, this blush pink faux fur one, and this chunky knit throw. I love them all. I also keep plenty of throw pillows for added texture and coziness. As far as my bedroom, this display shelf that I mentioned in a previous post is the only piece of furniture I’ve picked up. (You can find all the decorative pieces I style it with linked below or in the post I just mentioned).
But by far the most life changing purchase I’ve made to my space recently has got to be this bike desk. As someone who always has a lot of nervous energy to expend, (especially during these uncertain times), this bike has been a lifesaver. I’m a chronic multi-tasker and being able to get some exercise in while I work has done wonders. No more excuses for not finding time to work out for me! lol
As I’ve mentioned before, my space is ever evolving, but this is what I’m working with so far. Be sure to follow me on all my socials to get first peeks on all my finds!
