How To Style A Sushi Charcuterie Train

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I thought I would pull out my latest fun Amazon find to share some date night in inspo.

If you have been following me along on Insta, you will have already seen me share this rotating sushi bar train. Because Valentine’s falls on a Sunday this year, when I shared the train then, I had set it up as a sweet brunch charcuterie set up. Sweet breakfast treats like mini waffles and pancakes, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit and mini Valentine chocolates….you get the idea. Perfect for a cute breakfast with the kids or a sweet brunch date with your partner.

This time around I thought I would pull it out for a casual date night, and as the name implies, for a sushi bar setup. I ordered an assortment of appetizers and chef special rolls from my favorite local Japanese restaurant, and had fun putting together the spread which I enjoyed with the boyfriend earlier this week for dinner. After a throughly cleaned my tabletop, I laid out the sushi right on the marble, but it can be an even nicer display with small appetizer plates just and bowls for dipping sauces and condiments the same.

The train set itself comes with three carrying trains and six mini plates and is easy enough to set up and operate. It was a fun twist to the otherwise typical takeout dinner that we’re used to, so having this was definitely a break from the routine. And I appreciate the style is not themed, so you can pull it out any time of year for any holiday, birthday or casual entertaining in general.

Surprisingly it’s a popular item and has sold out the last two times I shared but is currently still available on Amazon if you’re interested in picking it up…Bon Appétit!

  1. Oh my gosh this is the cutest thing ever! I am charcuterie obsessed, but it’s never occurred to me to make a sushi one! I love this so much and am totally ordering the toy train to do this!

  2. Okay, that’s adorable! There’s the place in a mall in Florida that has a legit sushi conveyer belt and I always thought it was so much fun. This is like the smaller version for home haha!
