I know it’s only February and the weather shows no signs yet of warming up yet, but I have summer beach days on my mind. I have yet to travel since the start of the pandemic, but I have been mentally preparing myself for a days of sun and surf, especially since covid cases have been on a decline since the start of the new year.
I won’t pretend to think that all will be back to pre-covid “normal” life come summertime, but one can hope. In the meantime, I have been shopping vacation look and pretty swimwear, all from Amazon. Swimwear like this tropical onepiece, get me excited for pool days with yummy cocktails in hand. I typically reserve my sunbathing days for tropical vacations away, but for pandemic reasons that option may still be quite a ways away. Living on Long Island, I’m fortunate to be surrounded my ocean on pretty much all sides so I think it might be time to discover some new places by the shore that will be occupying my summer days.
I snagged that tropical suit and this large canvas beach bag already and I can’t wait to use both. I added them to this roundup along with so many cute spring and summer vacation worthy styles to inject from fresh pieces into your seasonal wardrobe.
Although I’ll make it a point to make my way to the shore sometime this summer, realistically most social engagements are still non existent. Keeping that in mind, I’m not investing too much in super dressy looks but instead casual and cute vibes like this strappy split beach dress or this side slit halter maxi. Either paired with these boho seashell dangle earrings and gold chain rivet crossbody with statement sunnies would pull together the perfect staycation look!
Whatever this summer will look like, whether I will be able to safely travel to a tropical getaway or enjoying local beaches for a staycation near home, I am keeping all the style options open for summer days. What are you most looking forward to for the season?
