I may or may not have purchased my weight in graphic tees in the last month, but who’s counting? I’m fully aware normal human beings do not need to load up on so much of a similar item, but my fashion blogger duties have been called to serve, lol.
So I went in. Way in on all the band tees from Tilly’s. I couldn’t resist all the fun and colorful options during my last haul and just had the hardest time editing my cart to just a few. Most of the band tees I already own are dark, muted and or distressed colors, giving all the edgy vibes. So when I came across so many bright and colorful tie dye options, I figured they would make great additions to my summer outfit rotations. Besides, I’m sure someone will benefit from my weakness, after all, it’s why I do what I do!
With the exception of this Sublime cropped tee, all other pieces from my haul have a relaxed or oversized fit, (my favorite way to wear the look). Even after trying them on, I loved them all and any one would make a great addition to your style lineup. I’ve mentioned in previous posts how versatile they can be, no longer to be exclusively paired with denim and leather jackets. I have been enjoying mixing them with other trends like printed satin skirts or even biker shorts! The options are truly limitless.
But if you’re like me, when I wear a simple t shirt, I like to keep it basic with cutoff shorts or skinny jeans. But a fun way to switch it up is to order the tee oversized and knot the front for a cute cropped look or distress a fave find with some well placed cutouts. Even rock a raw hem with a vintage piece you cut yourself and roll the sleeves for a throwback vibe.
I don’t see the trend going anywhere anytime soon, so if you haven’t yet, maybe give it a go!
