I have made a point to make a conscious effort to wear more summer dresses this season. After a year of being home for most of it and an entire summer lost due to covid, I guess I just want to make up for lost time, lol.
So it’s with that in mind that I made a Forever 21 purchase full of summer worthy options. Today I am sharing and styling some pieces from that haul starting with this white lace trim maxi dress. It features a strapless off the shoulder straight-cut neckline and back, with a flounce layer with crochet lace trim. It is such an instant summer look that will make it an easy reach for me this season. The elasticized waistband makes it a comfortable fit and the and sheer lace panels are a nice detail that add interest to break up all the fabric. I styled the dress with my go-to panama hat and woven tote bag.
This pretty striped crochet trim maxi dress is my favorite of the bunch. It features a gauzy crinkle woven fabric with an allover graphic multicolor striped pattern in summery hues. I love the square neckline and shoulder straps with crochet cutout design and the flowy silhouette made me feel extra pretty, lol.
For a fun alternative to a summer dress, I picked up this bandeau and pant set. This matching set featuring an allover tropical leaf print with a sweetheart neckline bandeau top with self-tie front detail, and a smocked back panel, as well as a pair of wide-leg pants with a high rise, smocked waist, and slant front pockets. This look totally give me beachfront club Miami Beach Ocean Drive vibes!
Lastly, a little black dress is a closet staple, no matter the season. I like to have different options, so I always keep my eye out for something different or a cute price friendly option. This sweetheart mini dress ticks off both since I don’t have a style similar to this in my wardrobe. I love strapless option for summer so they don’t compete with all the necklaces I love to layer and the a-line skirt is always flattering silhouette on my figure.
I’m ready for summer and looking forward to wearing these looks out! Which is your favorite?
