As some of you may already know, I shared that I needed a change in environment after the loss of my long time best friend and fur baby Bear. With my place no longer feeling the same, I have decided to find a new place, and have recently shared on IG stories that I found a new apartment and have just signed my lease.
I am excited for the change, but I don’t actually move in until the beginning of summer. Once I made the choice to find a new place, I started purging lots of furniture and decor because I want to start fresh with a clean slate. I still very much have a “type,” leaning towards all things neutral with pops of gold, and love adding textural elements to keep things interesting.
I have also always been about finding a good deal, and furniture and home decor is no exception. I rounded up some fresh Spring inspired home pieces from Walmart and Amazon, keeping true to my design aesthetic (if you want to call it that).
With renting in New York, storage has always been an issue, so finding versatile, multi-function pieces is something I will really have my eyes out for. I like to keep my space pretty minimal as I don’t like clutter, but I always appreciate decorative pieces whose only purpose is to make things pretty. I’m a firm believer that if seeing it your space makes you happy and “sparks joy” than it is worthy of staying in your space.
I’ve since picked up some new additions to add to my new space and looking forward to giving them a new home in the months to come. Do you decorate your home for upcoming seasons? What’s your favorite way to refresh your space?
