Welcome one welcome all food lovers! If you’re like me and have a sick obsession with food, you absolutely need to head to Brooklyn for some of the most unique and flavorful foods. More specifically you must go to Smorgasburg. From the moment I walked down the stairs and into the food section of the flea market I was in food heaven. Upon entering the land of goodness, your nose is overwhelmed with so many different delicious scents and I couldn’t resist trying something from almost every booth and of course I saved the donuts for last.

Smorgaburg is held in Brooklyn at a few different locations. Since I went during the winter, most of them were closed but The Winter Market at Skylight One Hanson was open. Located at 1 Hanson Place, it’s about a five minute walk from the Barclay Center so you can either take the train or drive. There is a parking garage one block away that is not expensive and very convenient. We spent around 2 hours there on a Saturday and parking was only $4. It is open on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm, starting November 5th and 6th going through March 25th and 26th. The Winter Market is only $1 to get in which is a no brainier that now you have to go. Part of your entry fee is donated to charities. However the food is not included in your admission price but a gal can dream! You have to pay for the food you decide to eat, but it’s really not that expensive and completely worth it. The Smorgasburg Winter Market is located on the lower level and has an exciting 25 vendors to chose from with food ranging from bacon pancakes, ramen burgers, chicken and waffles and so much more. I’ll let all the pictures speak for themselves. Why chose though when you can try it all! That’s what I did! I recommend trying a donut, bacon wrapped pancakes, ramen burgers and the fried chicken in a waffle cone.
