If you are looking for a killer spot to take in the view of the Empire State building while enjoying a nice fun cocktail or four, make sure to check out the Refinery Rooftop. They offer indoor and outdoor rooftop seating with beautiful greenery, string lights, and amazing city views. The interior is also very chic and romantic which would make it an ideal spot for a date or to get together with friends. During the cooler winter months the glass ceiling is enclosed in a tent and space heaters warm the open air spaces. This would be a fantastic place in the summer for grabbing a drink with friends while enjoying those city views.
My friend and I went for lunch and managed to get a seat outside with a perfect view of the Empire State building. We started by ordering a round of drinks. We had a mango basil margarita, the perfect pear which was made with Goose La Poire, St. Germain, pear puree, fresh lemon juice, cinnamon and lastly we ordered the ‘I give a sip’ slushy which is the perfect summer time drink. To eat we had the fresh mozzarella flatbread which had san marzano tomatoes, parmesan, and basil, the frico grilled cheese which had burrata, fennel sausage, pickled peppers, and balsamic in it, the truffle french fries, Butcher’s meatballs which had ricotta and grana padano, and lastly the crispy brussels sprouts which had sweet chilli, and fish sauce. The brussels sprouts were by far my favorite dish of the meal!
If you’re in a group of people, it is best to make reservations before you come. The place filled up quite quickly after we sat down, so you might want to reserve a table to avoid any disappointment. I will definitely come back the next time that I head into New York City.
