Outdoor Summer Finds From Walmart

With May now behind us, and unofficially kicking off the summer season with Memorial Day weekend, many got out to enjoy their personal oasis for all those backyard barbeques.

This year the holiday weekend looked very different with some having canceled travel plans or big gatherings in response to continued social distancing. Many instead decided to amp up their outdoor spaces to gear up for their smaller, more intimate celebrations. Because the current state of the ongoing pandemic, outdoor get-togethers may continue to look like this for the foreseeable future; at least for this summer. Because of that, I continue to look for ways I can make the most of my small balcony space.

With that in mind, I rounded up some more patio and yard finds, all from Walmart, with hopes that you can turn those canceled plans into something you can still enjoy long term. If you are fortunate enough to have access to a patio, yard or porch, than you might have experienced that these spaces have served as an extension of your home, sometimes doubling your living space.

Especially with all the extra time as home and most entertainment venues keeping their doors closed, more and more people are taking to their outdoor spaces to get their socializing in. Especially in my area, where even state parks are closed completely or cut off after certain occupancy  limits have been met, it’s nice to have the option of “getting out” when the cabin fever sets in.

So whether it’s just you, or in the company of your quarantine regulars, or even if your states have lifted restrictions and you can congregate within your six foot limits, I’ve pulled together some lounging and entertaining pieces to make the most out of your summer at home. You can catch me sunbathing on my balcony by day, and maybe enjoying a frozen drink well into the evening, especially after I picked up these string lights to brighten up those later hours.
