Everyone has their vices, some people like food, some enjoy a gorgeous leather handbag, some invest in the best of denims. Me on the other hand, would spend all of my money on shoes, if I could. Ever since I was young I was always mesmerized by shoes – all the different styles, colors, heel heights – you name it, I was in love. And, I still am very much in love with shoes. I have found that whenever I am feeling down, a new pair of shoes magically repairs my mood and instantly makes my day better. Some may consider this ‘retail therapy’ and maybe it is but I just consider it as knowing how to make myself feel better. I have been sharing some of my favorite summer sandals and shoes via Instagram and the feedback from you guys has been incredible! I wanted to dedicate a post to my new summer shoes that I consider a must have!
If you’re a consistent follower of mine you know that I LOVE a good leopard print, especially leopard printed shoes! I recently started to expand my animal prints and finally bought some snakeskin printed items, too. At first, I thought, ‘How am I going to style these and still have an effortlessly easy look?’. But, the second I added snakeskin shoes to a simple, casual look – it completely elevated the feel of my entire outfit. If you’re not ready to hop on the snakeskin print trend yet, ease yourself in with these Dolce Vita toe loop strap sandals. They are a neutral camel base with black and snakeskin straps. They have the perfect amount of snakeskin peeping through to take for a test run. If snakeskin is still not your thing, there are always a plethora of leopard options available. My favorites are these Sam Edelman gala two strap sandals. They are the most comfortable sandals and I believe they go with any casual outfit. In my opinion, leopard acts as a neutral and truly goes with any outfit and I am starting to feel the same way about snakeskin, only a pop of it, but still, such a cool trend!
Allow me let you in on a little shoe secret of mine, Target has the BEST sandals, ever. If ya didn’t know already – you’re welcome! They’re price points are unbeatable and their shoes always blow me away. Some of my favorite sandals are from Target like these Jenny camel slide sandals that are only $19. They did come in a snakeskin colorway but unfortunately, they sold out super quick and have yet to come back in stock, womp, womp. I have also been living in these $19 Universal Thread, two strap sandals and they look almost identical to the Dolce Vita PiPi wedge – only those are almost $50! Who doesn’t love finding an awesome, inexpensive version of their favorite shoes? I loved the braided detail on both of these sandals, they’re sure to complete any summer look.
