Cachet Boutique Hotel is where my friend and I stayed for New York Fashion week. The hotels restaurant, EDEN, is located at the main entrance to the hotel which made it very convenient place for us to stop and enjoy some food. Chef David works wonders in the kitchen with the farm to table concept, so you’ll get the fresh healthier ingredients and a much tastier dish. EDEN has plenty of healthy options, and they’re all phenomenal. The menu offers plenty of vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and dairy free options. “Eat no Evil” is the moto and for someone who is used to filling up on a ton of meats, pastas, and donuts that often make you tired after a meal. You can experience a wonderful meal here without leaving feeling heavy.
We came for brunch on a Saturday and we tried a bunch of dishes that they offer on the weekends. I started off with a matcha latte and a green juice. I have been on a juice kick lately, starting off with doing a juice cleanse for the first time a few weeks ago. This green juice was definitely some of my favorite that I’ve had! It was made with a combination of romaine lettuce, spinach, kale, apple and ginger. To eat, I had my first ever Acai bowl which had fresh fruits, coconut, almond butter, wolf berries, bee pollen. Let’s just say, I now know why everyone loves acai bowls. My friend ordered the the steelcut overnight oats made with almond milk, flax seed, chai spiced roasted apples, berries, cocoa nibs. To share, we had the avocado toast on top of grilled seeded rye, paffenroth garden radishes, pickled onions, togarashi, soft boiled egg, and sunflower sprouts.
If you are like me and don’t eat clean, enter with an open mind and your taste buds will thank you after. Eden local is the perfect place for a bite to eat with your girlfriends to get you energized before exploring the city! I will definitely be back on my next visit into New York City.
