If you’ve been following along, you’ll have noticed a recent theme of more home decor and organization posts. Even though I started the year with every intention of sprucing up my apartment, quarantine life has definitely amplified all desires to organize and decorate my place.
I don’t know about you, but in order for me to have a productive day, my work space needs to be clean and organized before I start. I don’t have dressers in my apartment; instead I use my closets and stand alone clothing storage like this garment rack. I usually have clothes strewn everywhere from regular unboxings and try-ons so I’ll take a few minutes every morning to organize those racks and put away any piles of clothes and packages from orders I may have received.
I recently picked up some new furniture pieces from Amazon and Walmart, mostly with shelving similar to this bookshelf as alternative shoe storage. I especially like to look for pieces that do double work like this storage bench that offers seating my an entryway and houses bins for additional hidden storage. But I also know space can be limited for many, so I included some options will small or minimal footprints like this ladder shelf unit or corner display shelf. Both would work great in smaller spaces.
Additional storage can be made even where limited space poses challenges. Think shelving over a door frame or over the door hanging shoe storage. This one neatly stores and organizes 26 pairs of shoes without taking up additional floor space, and the reinforced seams offer added strength and support.
