I have been trying super, super hard to keep a healthy diet and track my weight watchers points correctly as summer is right around the corner and my winter bod is still a bit, fluffy. So, in an effort to make this dieting thing a bit more fun, I’ve been taking pictures and documenting everything that I make and eat to share with you guys in hopes to inspire some of you as well! This easy to make breakfast are essential for busy mornings during the week.
Overnight oats in a mason jar (no cooking required)! A hearty healthy breakfast packed with fiber, protein, essential vitamins, and nutrients that can help keep you full until lunch! Not only are they good for you, I love that you can make a big batch ahead the night before.
Ingredients
1 Banana (mashed)
½ cup of old fashioned oats
⅓ cup of almond milk (or the milk of your choice)
½ teaspoon of chia seeds
½ teaspoon of peanut butter powder
½ cup of blueberries
Strawberries (optional to garnish)
Dark Chocolate Chips (optional to garnish)
Mason Jar (optional)
Serves 1 16 oz Mason Jar
Step One: In a medium size bowl mash up your banana completely until it forms a mushy, thick consistency, yes, it is supposed to look that gross!
Step Two: Next, add in the oats and the almond milk and mix together with the mushy banana to form a thick mixture.
Step Three: Add in the peanut butter powder, chia seeds and mix together.
Step Four: Lastly, add in your blueberries and mix together. Once all the ingredients are mixed together, put in a closed container, I used a mason jar, and put into the fridge for a minimum of 12 hours.
Step Five: The next morning, open the container add some toppings! I added some sliced strawberries, sliced bananas and chocolate chips!
Serve and enjoy!
