Long winter days and snow storms means more time to online shop. Let’s be honest, I certainly do not need another excuse to add to my ever growing sneaker collection (the life of a fashion blogger), but I thought I would share the new sneakers I have picked up in the last couple of weeks. Whether the new year has you motivated to pick up some new kicks for all the added workout routines or you are looking for some casual additions to style with your lounge wear looks (like me), today I am sharing some solid options to consider.
Initially what got me on these Nike Free MetCon 3 sneakers were the metallic gold and black colorway on them. I love the bold graphic contrast on them, making them a statement look in my opinion. As far as functionality goes, they combine the flexibility of a Nike Free sole with the flat, wide heel of the Metcon style which is intended to offer added stablility on your feet. Personally, my sneaker choices are made based on style alone because I am no gym rat, but if weight lifting or speed drills are your thing, these would offer the support you may be looking for!
As far as these Adidas NMD R1s, I have already spoken about this style ad nauseum as they have been my favorite for a couple of years now. I cannot stress enough my love for this sneaker, but know that I’ve owned like a dozen pairs from leopard trim to camo print, to every color option that I fancied. This pair in particular I picked up for the girly dusty salmon pink shade. Formally the color is ‘Ash Pearl‘ and I thought the neutral peachy pink would make a great additon to my spring and summer outfits.
Finally, my favorite pair of late have been these Nike Air Max 270 sneakers. I own it in two other colorways, but this ‘desert sand’ color has sold out every time I shared it on IG. I’m happy I was able to get my hand on a pair, with restocks selling out quickly, so if you’re interested in these snag them up quick as soon as your size becomes available!
Any of these pairs would make a great addition to your sneaker lineup. My favorite way to wear sneakers are with distressed denim and a good graphic tee. (If you’re interested, all of the tees featured today I shared in more detail on a recent post here). Do your sneakers serve for style, function, or both?
