One thing that became a rude awakening during most of 2020 being at home was how much I ate out and ordered take out. With most of my favorite spots closing their doors for months, I was forced into the kitchen way more that I was used to.
In my defense I am quite the workaholic and always on the move, so the convenience of ordering out became almost second nature. Fast forward an entire year later, and just as I was getting comfortable in my kitchen again, I was packing up for my move to an new apartment. The good news? My new place has a just upgraded kitchen with at least three times the storage I had at my old place. It’s been only a couple days since I’ve moved in but I’m quickly realizing I can afford to invest in some storage and organization pieces to optimize the space and have it work to it’s full potential.
My days are still always full, working long hours so that part hasn’t changed regardless of pandemics, but some of my mealtime routines have def changed. In an effort to keep up with that progress I made, I have been shopping some pretty (and functional) food storage and pantry organization pieces to keep me inspired in the kitchen.
So today’s post is intended to provide a nice selection of those things to also you help make one of your home’s hardest working spaces an easier place to navigate. Personally, some small additions have made all the difference to my new space so far, like this dish drying mat and basket set from Amazon that I shared on IG stories recently. Hopefully some of thee finds will do the same for you!

Ooo I actually need a lot of these! Our kitchen doesn’t have a lot of space so this would help!
