Holiday inspired eyeshadow with Jackie from Truth and Beauty

‘Tis the season to be The House of Sequins and to wear as much glitter and shimmer as humanly possible on your face.

Here is my step-by-step holiday makeup application:

  1. Prime the lid with Mac Painterly Pot.

  2. Use a nude color for the base. We used the eye shadow color “Birkin” by Anastasia.

  3. Add Mac “Cranberry” eyeshadow from the outer corner and blend towards the center of the lid. This will create an ombre effect on the lid.

  4. Add Mac “Shadowy Lady” eye shadow over Mac “Cranberry” with the same method from step number 3. Apply to the end of the lid, blending toward the center of the lid. The Cranberry underneath helps the darker shadow look richer in color.

  5. Use Stila Glitter and Glow liquid eyeshadow using a flat brush. Tap on the lid starting on the inner corner and working toward the center of the lid.

  6. Using a brush & Ellis Faas creme eyeshadow in E103. Line the eye starting from the inner corner staying closest to the lash line and extending to the outer corner.

  7. Apply individual lashes to complete the look.

If you don’t have the 30 minutes to spare on a festive holiday makeup look and you are going right from the office to a holiday party, you probably only have about ten minutes or less to get ready. Here are a few quick tips to have you holiday party ready in no time!

Bright Red Lips – During Christmas time, everything is merry and bright, and with your favorite shade of red lipstick, you can be holiday ready with a quick swipe of lipstick!

Glitter Silver Top Liner – What better way to take your daily office makeup to holiday party ready within in seconds. All year long, we play with different colors of black, browns, and neutral eye makeup. But then, when the holiday season rolls around, it’s all about the glitter and shimmer. What better way to show off your holiday spirit that with a glitter eyeliner? To get this look, draw a medium to thick line just above the lashes in a classic shimmery metallic color.

Smokey Eyes – Smokey eyes might be hard to create with a ton of products, but all you need is a smudgeable non-waterproof eyeliner and lots of volumizing mascara. Starting at the inner corner, trace the pencil into the crease, along the bottom lash line, then smear with your fingers until it’s grey around the eye. Apply liner to the waterline and lash line, swipe on mascara and you are good to go!

  1. Now this is a look I’d love to recreate. Since I have dark brown eyes, purple highlights them the best and these purples are absolutely stunning! I’m semi-obsessed for sure!
