I’m back at the gym these days, but that doesn’t mean I can’t look cute while getting there! I personally appreciate workout pieces that do double duty bringing functionality and style…because let’s be honest, why should we have to sacrifice either?

The Free People Movement line offers performance-ready activewear, with stylish options that take your gear beyond the gym. It’s one of the reasons I love these High Rise Genesis leggings. They add a feminine touch to an otherwise basic piece. These pretty leggings feature scalloped trimmed hems and eyelet details at the ankles and their cropped 7/8 length is perfect for running or showing off moves at your favorite dance class!

Still very much the workhorse athletic basic, these leggings bring some impressive functionality with a reinforced waist band with a back pocket to stash your bills or keys. The high rise, stretch fit and flattering seam details take these up a notch and offers a secure and snug feel. I don’t know about you, but I just work out better when I feel good and am not worrying about spilling out or busting a seam because the quality just isn’t there.

It was a no brainer to wear these leggings with the matching Genesis bra. It features the same scalloped and eyelet details as the leggings. The adjustable straps and lined cups make the Genesis bra comfortable and easy to wear. It’s longline design brings the bottom hem lower than your average sports bra, leaving less of your midsection exposed; works for me because still working on those abs! (Summer, I’m coming for you)!

For the commute to and from the gym, it is still necessary to throw on a top layer to withstand the fall chill in the air. Found that this Hit the Slopes Jacket fit the bill perfectly. This fleece jacket features a button up front and cool zippered pockets to keep your valuables safe and the cuff sleeves were a lifesaver to keep the wind from creeping in. The cut and style of it already makes it an easy favorite for the season.

Finally my Adidas Swift Run sneakers completes my gym-ready ensemble. I could not resist the cheetah print on these guys; if you know me you know animal print is my favorite neutral and I could not pass these boys up! Lightweight, breathable and comfortable, they’re not just super cute, they tick all the boxes for a hard-working athletic sneaker to get the job done!
