Fall Home Decor and Organization

If you have been following along on my home decor journey on Instagram, you will have seen I have been trying to find organization solutions that work for my setup as well as add some fall touches to my space.

Keeping my work space organized is forever a work in progress it seems because my needs are always evolving. Because of my line of work, (reviewing clothes and and all things everyday fashion), a traditional closet doesn’t exactly suit my needs. I definitely have built in closet space in my apartment for my core wardrobe, but investing in a garment rack and shelving has made all the difference in productivity and keeping things in order.

Smaller pieces like jewelry organizers and accessory storage give a home for the bulk of my accessory “library” and keep my working surfaces from getting out of control. Styling these racks, shelving and organizers have also served as inspiration to style my outfits and keeping things out remind me to wear things that would otherwise get lost in the shuffle of all things coming in/going out.

As far as decor, in past years I focused the majority of my energy in decorating for the season to revolve around the holidays. Although I would add tome tiny touches, I never gave much thought to decorating my space for the season, especially for specific holidays. But lately I’ve felt inspired to inject some fall feels into my decor and I blame it on quarantine life, lol.

I love the colors of the season, but I will still shy away from overly saturated colors in my decor. I’ve mentioned it so many times before that neutrals have my heart but I also like the light and clean look; just feels more calming for me. So with that in mind, I picked up some fall themed finds, all with a neutral palette, and love the spirit it adds. My favorite of all are these pumpkin spice and “hello fall” soy candles that look just as pretty as they smell yummy!

Will appreciate this now because it won’t be long before I transition this decor for all things holiday season, lol!
